Pre-Law Society and Mock Trial
The Dr. Francis T. Talty ‘77 Pre-Law Society was formed and recognized as an official student organization at UMass Lowell in 2006. Its purposes include providing a forum for UMass Lowell students to participate in organized activities relating to the American courts and the country's legal system, including the UML Mock Trial team which competes each year against many of the nation's top universities and colleges; serving UML students in information gathering and sharing toward law school planning including: attending law school forums where law school admissions representatives and advisors meet with students on an individual basis, and forming an LSAT exam study group, where UML students learn from lawyers and former students who have taken the LSAT about techniques for succeeding on the exam, and thereby increasing the likelihood and quality of law school acceptances offered to UML students.
For more information, students may visit the UMass Lowell clubs page, or contact Prof. David McCauley.
